The house rules.
1 · Agreement
By downloading or using Kitchen Table, you agree to these terms. If you're using it on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on its behalf. If you don't agree, don't use the software.
2 · Your content
Everything you build and serve is yours. We claim no ownership over your apps or data. You grant us only the limited technical permission needed to operate the relay you enable — for example, storing an encrypted snapshot so a Standard-mode link stays alive.
3 · Open-source components
The desktop app, protocol, and CLI are released under the MIT license and governed by that license, not these terms. These terms cover the paid hosted services — the relay, sync, and Team features.
4 · Acceptable use
Don't use the relay to host malware, illegal content, or to abuse others. Don't attempt to break the isolation between apps or accounts, or overwhelm the service. We may suspend apps that violate this section, and we'll tell you why when we can.
5 · Plans & billing
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of the billing period. We offer a pro-rated refund within 14 days of your first payment. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
6 · Disclaimers
The software and services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Kitchen Table is designed for small, personal, and internal software — it is not intended for safety-critical or high-availability production systems.
7 · Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
8 · Termination & changes
You may stop using Kitchen Table at any time. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app and on this page with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Kitchen Table is incorporated.
